Pattern, Shadow, Reflection

Pattern: Pattern is a beautiful part of our world in which we often overlook. They are repetitions of objects, shapes, lines…the possibilities are endless! We go through life looking at things as an entire object instead of many little parts, which very much of the time consist of pattern. This photo has natural color; however, the background is out of focus due to the low aperture on the camera. This pattern is made of geometric shapes along with thick lines. The colors give off a warm, loving vibe due the warm colors in the photo.
Shadow: Shadows are shapes given off when sunlight is interfered by an object. This photo was interesting to me because when people often think of shadows, they get a bad connotation because of the darkness and the fact that shadows also mean hiding behind something. Yet in this photo, shadow helps to represent love. In this photograph, the colors are in black and white to help add drama. The angle in which the photo was taken was from behind in order to only focus on the shadows. The light is natural because it is coming from the sun instead of an artificial light.

Reflection: Reflection is when a surface reflects/ throws an object back at you without absorbing it. We often see reflections in mirrors and such; however, this reflection comes from a glass full of water. The glass is full of transparent water in order to catch all of the different natural colors. The glass of water is in focus, yet it captures a bit of the sky in the glass in order to bring some of the out of focus sights into focus. This contains thin lines and was taken at an angle which could allow the vibrant sky to become part of the glass. Space is a big part in this because you can tell the difference in space between the glass and sky, yet through the glass, the sky looks close.
